Force on a conductor balance – It is used to demonstrate that when a current is passed through a conductor in a magnetic field, it is subjected to a force of attraction or repulsion depending upon the direction of current in it. It consists of a plastic base 160 x 140mm on which two contact pillars are mounted. Each pillar is provided with an external circuit. A balance beam is supported by the pillars on two bearings, which form the fulcrum. Two screwed masses are provided in the beam system, one moving vertically for the adjustment of sensitivity and the other moving horizontally for the adjustment of the equilibrium position, when no current is flowing. Scale marked 0 to 75 x 1mm, rider of 1 gm weight..

Helmholtz Coils are a special arrangement of coils that are placed in such a way as to generate a very uniform magnetic field between them when a current is applied. The strength of the magnetic field is proportional to the number of turns in the coils and the current applied to them. The Supertek Helmholtz Coils setup consists of two field coils mounted on a track to provide a uniform magnetic field between the coils. The proper separation for Helmholtz coils is marked on the track. A pair of precision coils and 400 turns of wire are wound on heat resistant former of about 150 mm diameter.

Induction Coil (Ruhmkorff Coil ) for Physics Lab – The primaries are wound with thicker copper enamelled covered wire on letherite pipe in two layers. The secondary coils are divided into two parts & are given heavy insulation. Each layer is wound in a cover of butter paper & are completing the winding, the entire is dipped into hot wax to seal each layer against moisture effect. The coils are housed in a teakwood base, voltage tested condensers are fitted inside the wooden polished base. Handles to get the spark are fitted on it & make or break points are of silver. One point is adjustable to get any cycle. On/off reversing switch commutator working on 6 to 12 V DC. Size – 10 mm, 25 mm, 50 mm, 75 mm, 100 mm.
